In addition to RMM we also keep functional oversight of your IT environment. This covers application usage, network load and the availability of systems. That way we spot trends, bottlenecks and opportunities for optimisation before they become a problem.
Where RMM looks at the device, functional monitoring looks at the service: is the mail environment reachable, how long does the most important application take, how full is the internet connection on a weekday morning. We keep those measurements, so we can see not just that something is slow, but since when.
That turns a conversation about expansion into a conversation about numbers. A connection that has been hitting its ceiling for three quarters in a row is a well-founded proposal; a gut feeling is not.
