Backups

Automatic, encrypted backups — locally and in the cloud, tested for recoverability.

How a backup is kept here

Almost everyone makes backups. Far fewer people know whether they work. The difference is the last step of this diagram: we periodically restore one to see that it succeeds.

A copy in the same place as the original is not a backup but a second copy. That is why one always lives at another location, away from your office.

A copy only becomes a backup once restoring it has been tested.

Quickly operational again after a calamity

We take care of automatic, encrypted backups of your data, both locally and in the cloud. We regularly test recoverability, so you can be sure that in the event of a calamity you are quickly operational again.

A backup that has never been restored is an assumption. That is why we periodically run an actual restore and record how long it took. So you know your recovery time in advance, instead of finding out on the worst day of the year.

The copies are encrypted and kept both on site and off site, so ransomware that hits your server does not also hit your restore point. The same applies to Microsoft 365: Microsoft does not include a backup, so we arrange that separately.
