An additional backup of your Microsoft 365 data, because Microsoft does not provide one by default.
How a backup is kept here
Almost everyone makes backups. Far fewer people know whether they work. The difference is the last step of this diagram: we periodically restore one to see that it succeeds.
A copy in the same place as the original is not a backup but a second copy. That is why one always lives at another location, away from your office.
Better protected against data loss
Microsoft does not offer a standard backup solution. That is why we provide an additional backup of your Microsoft 365 data. This gives you better protection against data loss caused by, for example, deletion or ransomware.
That surprises a lot of people. Microsoft guarantees the availability of the service, not the safety of your content: if an employee deletes a folder and it only comes to light two months later, the recycle bin was emptied long ago. With ransomware or a compromised account, the damage simply synchronises along.
Our backup runs daily across mail, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams, with a retention period we agree together. Restores can be done per file, per mailbox or per site, and we test that periodically so your recovery time is not a surprise.
